Shinjuku Memories

While the rainy drops were surrounding our ears for the last couple of hours, we were in the office, reminiscing about the sweet moments of last summer. We have to be honest: We abhor the cold weather. Whether the thought on it, or just feeling it, it makes us dizzy πŸ™ˆ

As the last weeks have been busy ones, we didn’t have the time to thank you for the endless love, whether personally or digitally. With this energy boost, we are writing down these words. With this momentum, we’d like to share some raunchy-and-trenchant creations that stymied our ear drums during the last days.

Proper disclaimer: The music might not be for everyone. Yet, as we’re a platform without aural boundaries, you might perceive the concept behind it.

So, let’s have a closer look over these creations here:

Calvin Harris, A-Trak, Travis Scott – Prayers Up (Ase Manual Remix)

Ase Manual’s latest remix is something that goes through our ears like a butterknife through butter. A tenacious creation with a high level of addiction.

As he made his own interpretation of the tune Prayers Up, you can literally feel the energy that streams out of the piece. With his accentuation of a sublime bass line that has been fused with profound usage of FX’s & vocal chops, the handicrafter did something that we needed to share with you.

Such a superb reinterpretation. We think, we’re in love. Speaking of which, folks, if you never heard about this intriguing creative personality, better do your homework now. Check out his latest uploads, get in touch with him on Twitter & make sure to catch one of his future shows.

Zean – Mockery (Wrack Remix)

The upcoming piece brought us a big smile in our faces. Not only has it been a long time, since we talked about a publication from this interesting label, but also, our lack to check out their latest creations, due to the lack of time.

Fortunately, we made it through. With this stunning single, we’d like to introduce you to the reinterpretation of Zean’s Mockery by Tokyo-based Club Music-handicrafter Wrack.

The lads, whose path we’re following a while, made something that can be definitely defined as an amalgamation of crip drums & atmospheric vibes that makes your body move simultaneously. Whether if we would take a closer look over the original or our choice, its remix, both creations are something that we did not listen to for a while (which is a pity, if you’re asking us).

With the single being released by our friends, Istanbul-based label CVLT, you can get yourself a free copy of this stunning upload. Make sure to grab yourself one, share the link with your loved ones & in/exhale the atmos of Mockery.

Wulffluw XCIV – Balma

Wading through the latest creations that made us curious to check out, we made a stop over this stunning release here. Being part of the Matanza-extended play, it has been a pleasure to check out Wuffluw XCIV and his merger of Experimental, Rave Music & Reggaeton.

By pressing play, you will be engulfed by the aura of Balma. To describe the feeling while venturing through the aural spheres: it is like an endeavour, where you’re going to cross the path with raunchy drums, distorted voices & the stimulating melodies that sticks in your ear.

Being released by our recent discovery, LDN-based label Perth Records, we’d like to invite to take a closer look over this stunning publication. Make also sure to check out the other uploads, since we were intrigued by the variety of aural input that has been up on their sites.

Oh & don’t forget to follow Wulffluw’s path for future releases, announcements & gigs.

GirlyBoy – Institutions

Have you ever heard about GirlyBoy? No? Because we also didn’t. The man, who is based in Norway & Japan, got our attention with this chimerical piece, named Institutions that can be described as something in between Club Music, Industrial & Grime.

To accentuate the highlights of the piece: ubiquitous kickdrums are stimulating your surroundings in mere seconds. Fusing it with the omnipresent synth composition creates an emotion that can be put in between jauntiness & giddiness.

As we fortunately stumbled over this follow handicrafter, it has been an intriguing session of striving through the vast amount of sound layers that have been set in a perfect mix that we felt obliged to write about.

With this, we’d like to invite to take a closer look over this man here, his perception on aural art & the succulent creations of his discography that sugar-coated our late afternoons. Oh & be sure to share his music with your loved ones.

Metadata – Dream Eater

Folks, it has been a blast. Also, it has been a while, since we exchanged some thoughts with you about this promising group. With their latest collaboration compilation with Club Music-Label Prjkts, we’d like to say Hi! again to our fellow friends from Knightwerk.

As we are following them for a while, the sheer endless amount of quality that comes out week per week, is something that we were impressed about. Also, the variety of creative heads that release their oeuvres over their site is also one of the main reasons, why we check them everytime out with a big smile.

This time, as we previously mentioned, we’d like to share this collaboration compilation & with it, our pick: Dream Eater, a tune made by handicrafter Metadata.

As we personally believe that the piece totally epitomises the sound of the collection, with its mesmerizing drum-settings, the chimerical FX’s or the whole arrangement in general, we’d like to know, if you agree with it.

Since we’re here to exchange some thoughts over art, we always want to hear the audience’s opinion on it. With this, make sure to check out this sublime collection, the labels behind it, this gifted handicrafter & with it, following their paths for future updates.
