#FF109: Oceanic Ink
Oh my god, it is getting hot here. The momentum is screaming for water, the ocean, the beach & a popsicle to eat. In case you’re wondering, yes, we have to get some holidays, right here, right now.
As uni is going to end soon, it’s the mere thought that motivates us to stand up, get our sh*t together & go after the daily duties that sugar coat the day of everyone.
Speaking of duties, our primary target was to put some tunes together that increases your mood as it did to our’s, talk about them a bit & share the channels of these gifted people with you & you.
So, shall we start? We think, we shall:
1. Elsa – Nobody Likes You
We recently had a talk with this girl from Stockholm. She recently did hit us up if we’re up to take a listen to her latest piece, named Nobody Likes You.
In case you’re wondering, yes, we were talking about Elsa Martinsson, mostly known under Elsa. The swedish singer-songwriter intrigued us yet again with a mellifluous upload. While it seems to be a long time since we have mentioned her on our site, it felt great to have the chance of checking out her latest piece.
By creating an oeuvre that engulfs your surroundings, including your ear drums, it felt like the easiest task of the day to find the right words to make you feel what we felt while listening to this aural aspirin.
Speaking of which, we’d like to invite to press the play button, take your time, in- & exhale the solipsism that transmits through your room. Oh & if you’re already in that moment, don’t forget to subscribe to her channel, in case you didn’t. In case you did, hell you, why didn’t listen to this blessed tune earlier?
2. Gemini Rising – Better Days
Oh this here might be something new. While perusing the sheer endless realm of Soundcloud, we accidentally stumbled over this group that is based in Los Angeles. The project named Gemini Rising, which has been recently launched by Fiora Cutler, Lester Mendez and Marco Niemerski, can be described as a merger between Synth pop & Indie Electronic. In case you might wondering how that sound like, why don’t you press the play button & see what happens next?
Going through the aural spheres that have been created by these three individuals, you can literally feel a versatility of emotions that has been put together to make this record a special one. Plus, while picking our favourite of the extended play, it was really difficult to decide which one epitomises the way of sounding that Fiora, Lester & Marco try to create.
We tried & picked Better Days. If you disagree with our decision, then hit us up & tell us your opinion on it. Oh & don’t forget to follow their path in the meanwhile, because if you don’t, you might miss the newest updates from this lovely group.
3. Joyce Wrice – Good Morning (Fred Simon Remix)
Seems like an eternity that we wrote about someone from the beaut of a country: Italy. Luckily, we have the chance now to make this happen. Based in Milan, the capital of fashion, we’d like to present you one of our latest favourites: the beat maker Fred Simon.
Lucky as we are today, it has be to destiny that guided us on his site & the featured song. By re-interpreting a tune from LA-based artist Joyce Wrice, the Italian art-creator made something that you definitely need to add to your playlist.
Not only did he merged his perception on arte (that is Italian, in case you’re wondering) with Joyce’s, he also created a remix that definitely increases your mood instantly. If we would accentuate a specific element of the creation, then we would say that the funkiness that has been included inside the tune is something uplifts your psyche immensely.
Speaking of which, we’d like to invite you to take a closer look over Fred Simon, his stunner remix of Good Morning & be sure to follow his path via Social Media.
4. Ness Nite – Happy Ness (Feat. Drelli)
It feels like an eternity that we talked about this gifted girl here. Too long, that’s for sure. While checking out the latest updates, we magically stumbled over her latest upload, an art collision between her & Minneapolis-based artist Drelli.
By naming the result Happy Ness, you can slightly imagine its way of sounding. In case you don’t, feel free to press the play button & surround yourself with the recorded energy that radiates around you while listening to it.
From our point of view, what we can say is that you can feel the sublimity that has been put in this blessed collaboration. And while perusing the composed spheres over & over again, the tune increased the level of smiling from minute to minute.
Folks, if you’re looking for tunes to increase your motivation then Happy Ness shall be on the list. A lovely creation coming from two gifted persons, what do you want more? Nothing, right?
5. Filet Mignon – Kids
Last creation of the day comes from the house of anonymous beat maker Filet Mignon. By going through his discography of chimerical uploads, we finally made a stop over the featured creation, named Kids.
To describe the piece with some words or to genre-fy it is not really an easy task to fulfil. With elements from Hip Hop, Future Bass, Electronica, you can just imagine what the result might sound like. But if you don’t, don’t hesitate & let the music do the rest.
With a constant output on beats, it will be only a matter of time that we will talk about this artist again. In the meanwhile, do yourself, your dad & your neighbour a favour, by subscribing yourself to this channel filled with oeuvres of sublimity.
What a creative head, what a stunning collection of music to listen to. A gargantuan amount of Thank You’s for this moment, lad.
