#FF098: Dynamic Flow

As Monday has started, we thought that we should do a special episode for today. Since we’re based in different cities, it would be fun to talk about locals that are based in your city, right? Plus, we didn’t do that for a loooong time. So, shall we do it today? We shall do.
Dedicated to handicrafter, like you & you that are based in my city: Vienna, it has been a truly amazing endeavour. But enough with the talk, let’s have a blast:

1. Soia – Fractal Spirits

Starting our routine with an alleviative Nu Jazz-piece is the best thing we did for a while. But whose seraphic voice melted our eardrums for a couple of minutes? That has to be Soia, right? As we were looking for content for this special episode, we knew where we have to start.
By listening to the jaunty release, named H.I.O.P. (published by the Philly-based label Record Breakin Music), it has been a matter of seconds that we knew that this Viennese handicrafter has to be on this part of the anthology. The only question was, which track we should pick that impeccably shows you the energy that this record possesses. After going through, we finally decided to pick Fractal Spirits.
(Solar-Edit: This oeuvre has been released as a bonus track by the Tokyo-based label Sweet Soul Records).
Speaking about that specific tune has been a pleasure as well. Whether if we wound accentuate the catchy rhythm of the beat, the astonishing merger between the instrumental & Soia’s voice or the melo composition, it is truly a pleasure to listen to this record.
What a lovely tune. We’ll continue this episode after some minutes, we need to hear this paragon of music again. You should probably too.

2. Mile XY – BNB (feat. NOTHANDSOME)

Oh, this beat has been stuck for a while. Give us like ten seconds, oh, no, we better do it now. While pursuing the latest releases from artisans based in Vienna, we always crossed the path of this young rapper here. As if it was by magic or karma, we knew that he has to be on this list here.
You guessed it, we were talking about Mile XY & this art collision named BNB. It hasn’t been the first time that the rapper & the producer NOTHANDSOME merged their ideas to make some pieces that you start to drool over. It’s the level of succulency that increases itself from release to release.
By saying that, we’d like to invite you to check out the aforementioned creation. What you’re going to hear is a crystal clear instrumental that has been fused with the Mile’s voice to sugar-coat your afternoon. And yes indeed, so did it to our’s. Oh, we did press play again, but nevermind, every minute of this piece is pure joy for your ears.
Folks, check out the discography of these two here, but be sure to have water somewhere. You might going to drool for too long.

3. Monophobe – Whenitsnotyouitsthem

It just feels like an eternity that we talked about this guy here. Too long, that’s for sure. While being always occupied with writing music, we finally re-stumbled (yes, that is the truth) over this release here.
In case, you were wondering about who we were talking about & especially that this episode is dedicated to a dozen of our most favourite artists of my colleague’s home city, we’d like to say yes, we were speaking about Max, also known as Monophobe.
The producer, who never ceases to amaze us by his colourful synth compositions & his talent to generate captivating melodies, recently put out this stunner here. Being part of the latest compilation from Linz-based label Shash Records, the future beat, named Whenitsnotyouitsthem is what you can call an epitome of Monophobe.
But why? Whether if we would re-accentuate the synth compositions, the crisp drum setting or the whole arrangement in general, the lad knows how to get your attention.
Yet, as some of us may still be unconvinced by these words, do yourself a favour, click on the provided link & check this beat out. Oh & if you have some additional time left, why don’t you wade through the succulent compilation that is out on the Bandcamp-page of the label?
You would definitely put up a smile on so many faces. That’s for sure.

4. Simp – Failia

In dire need of a smooth beat with mesmerising synths? Yes? Then you probably will stumble over Failia. The future beat has been one of our latest discoveries & yes people, we really enjoy every single time when we press the play button.
As this might be one of those creations that you can still hear in the next weeks or months, we’d like to invite you to check out the discography of its creator as well.
Who is it? The answer: Vienna citizen Simp. Magically appearing in the Soundcloud-universe around some years ago, it’s the content that makes you flabbergasted. Whether if you’re looking for decent productions with a profound melo composition or just somebody who has a knack to rivet your ear drums in less than a minute, then this fella might appear on that list.
We have to be honest, we regret that we did not find out about him & his oeuvres earlier. Yet, we’re glad that we finally did.
Alright folks, enough with the talk. Let the music handle the rest. Click on the provided link & peruse the aural den of Simp.

5. Brenk Sinatra – Brenky Shmurda

Final piece of today is yet another stunner by one of the MVPs in the Viennese music scene. Releasing gems over gems over the last few months & years, it is always a pleasure to wade through the aural spheres. Yes, folks, we’re talking about the beatmaker & full-time virtuoso Brenk Sinatra.
If in case, you might never heard about that guy, educate yourself now. But if you’re too lazy to check him out, we might help you out with this release as an example of his creative flow. Being part of the Gift-compilation & released by the Viennese label Hector Macello, what you’re going to hear is a funky record, in which Brenk did use the acapella from Bobby Shmurda’s Hot Nigga & fused it with ear-melting Sinatra-juice.
Guys, get yourself a copy of this cynosure, because it is for free. Do it now, or you will going to regret it. Oh & don’t forget to share the link with your mum, because she needs it for her iPod.
