10/10 – 10/17 (#FF086)

#FF086: ‘Ecstatic Innervisions’

boys & girls, we have to confess that it has been an agonizin’ start of the week again. not only that the rhythm of the last few weeks tend to annoy the shit out of us, we knew what we had to do, to calm down & re-focus on the essential things. yes, folks, music.
as we recently did concentrate ourselves on neo-classical, ambient, drones-type of music, we thought that we should repeat it on this week too. since the concepts around these type of music tend to be one of the few things that really do make an impact on our souls, we knew that we have to make an exception.
for aficionados of other genres, be assured, there will be soon some new features soon, but in the meanwhile, why don’t you try out these five magnificent pieces that we have gathered together? there are lovely pieces from friends, artists that were on the watch list & discoveries that had to be part of this article.
so, shall we talk about these oeuvres? we think, we should:

1.Luca Longobardi – Opalina

it has been an eternity that we talked or featured a ‘Longobardi’-piece. too long, that’s for sure. the man, who comes from the eternal city, yes, folks, we’re talkin’ about rome, never ceases to amaze us. whether if we’re accentuatin’ the melo composition of ‘Rue De Enfants’ or the instrumental collusion between the strings & the piano on ‘Laura canta’, it’s the aptitude that can convert emotions into notes on an instrument.
this also applies to one of his latest releases, the ambient-cinematic-electronica merger named ‘Opalina’. from its beginning ’till its ending, the piece will ensorcel, captivate you & immerse in your body. it’s the eery-yet-catchy composition in general that convinced us so rapidly that we didn’t have to think about doin’ a feature on it for a long time.
we have to say that this is just one example of the sheer talent from this man & by sayin’ that, we’d like to encourage you to use your next moment of leisure, click on the provided link & check these soothy operas.

2. Hior Chronik – Faraway Land

let’s go on a trip, to a land far, far away, where the only thing that you’re goin’ to think about is how you can stop the time to enjoy the moment eternally. this thought has been on our mind, when we stumbled over this gifted individual.
appearin’ on the world of soundcloud around six years ago, the guy that goes under the moniker ‘Hior Chronik’ can be seen as a full-time virtuoso. not only that Giorgos has been followed by the music for his whole life already, it’s his concept on music that can be seen as a kaleidoscope. with the time passin’ by, everyone of us experiences the perpetual transformation, whether if we’re talkin’ about music, art or life in general.
as Giorgos has witnessed a diverse panoply of events, you can definitely say that a kaleidoscope can be the most accurate thing to portray the style of art that he tries to convey.
talkin’ about that, we’d like to invite you to check out this paragon of ambient & cinematic electronica that definitely is goin’ to melt everything that stand in its way away. namin’ the piece ‘Faraway Land’, you can catch a glimpse of what you’re goin’ to expect. yet, you will feel obligated to click on the provided link to see if your premonition is right.
if in case, you did, you would put a bigger smile on Giorgos if you would check out the rest of his flamboyant discography.

3. Theo Alexander – Death

there are a dozen of artists that we have stumbled over the last weeks, months or years. some of them are on our list to watch over that alerts us whenever a new release is goin’ to be uploaded. as we love to take a look over the evolvement from you & you, we knew that we had to take a look over our index.
one of the musicians that appeared as one of the first, has been the london-based composer ‘Theo Alexander’. we recently came in touch with Theo to have a talkfest about his latest release, the ‘Black Bunny’-extended play. the record that has been released by the gents from ‘1631 Recordings’, has been a piece to remember from the first moment where we heard it.
whether if it’s about the melo compositions or the arrangement in general, the composer does know what he has to do to impress.
speakin’ about things that impress, we’d like to invite you to check out our pick of the extended play, called ‘Death’. as we personally believe that this one here impeccably represents the perception that Theo tried to convey, the piece can be seen also as one of his best creations that we ever had the pleasure to listen.
so, do yourself a favour & share this one here with your beloved ones, because we’re sure that they’re goin’ to appreciate it.

4. Lucy Claire – Voices Of The Sea (Feat. Marie Schreer)

as we always tend to be fans of collaborations, due the fact that it gives us musicians the possibility to merge our perception of art with someone else’s, it is always an endeavour. an adventure that can teleport you in an utopia, a fantasy world, where everything is in total balance. you’re goin’ to think about bein’ in the woods or standin’ in front of a sea.
talkin’ about seas, we’d like to propose to check out this creation here. the piece that can be seen as an aural collusion between the london-based artists ‘Lucy Claire’ & ‘Marie Schreer’. an amalgamation of both apprehensions over arrangements & concepts.
we have to say that this one here gave us some goose bumps & shivers. if you dig the idea, why don’t you make a shout out to both of them? as we’re here to share some music, we believe that you should it too. and if you’re in a dire need of pithy collaborations, why don’t you check out Lucy’s soundcloud page?

5. Jameson Nathan Jones – Threads

last euphony on the list is called ‘Threads’. the gem that has been created by laurel-based musician ‘Jameson Nathan Jones’, has not been the first piece that we have featured from this talented lad.
plus, it won’t be the last time that we did. it won’t be the last time that we were in a state of awe after listenin’ to yet another lush piece of music. it won’t be the last time that we’re goin’ to hear a mellifluous melody that is so sticky that will stay in your ear drums for a while.
but why? well, by pressin’ play, you’ll understand what we have meant. it’s Jameson’s knack that fascinated us. the aptitude to rivet you mentally & physically. the ability to put in a sheer piece of music that panoply of emotions that it is gettin’ eerily-yet-airily.
by sayin’ that, we’d like to invite you to check out our feature, sit down for a while, grab some tea & let the melodies be around you.
