oh, we just had a ‘déjà-vu’. you know, the issue with that thing or action or routine that you might recognise, because you might have seen it already somewhere. right? it may be you do not reminisce about the term, or connect it with that sci-fi movie with Denzel Washington, was it really Denzel? we think so, but if someone comes up with it, just tweet us.
talkin’ about ‘déjà-vus’ is way easier than to have one. but why? it’s the moment of bedazzlement, the state of awe, the unfathomable thing that you might remark but not sure why. because it’s a, ok we’re not goin’ to go further.
focusin’ on music again, we have to say that we had a wonderful one. a ‘déjà…’, ok, no we’re sufferin’ from mind-control. the thing that we have already seen comin’, this article that might be your personal ‘dé..-..’. but why? because it is about time again with a new chapter on the ‘Flamboyant Five’-series.
an aural ‘déjà-vu’, does that make sense? no, it doesn’t. shall we start to talk about our picks of the week? we shall do:
1.Boycott – Operate (feat. Akacia)
since monday is on the row, we knew we had to operate. to work, to present you something that motivates you. how about this one here? created by one of our earliest features, ever on this site, we’d like to invite you to check out the pithy collaboration between london-based producer ‘Boycott’ & melbourne-based multi-talent ‘Akacia’.
the boy & the girl, who came together, to create an electronic record that definitely needs to be on your computer after 3 seconds of hearin’. by showin’ us again why we knew that the first feature won’t be the last one, we knew that we had to operate. the two single-extended play, named ‘Silence’, might give you the first panoply of thoughts that can be connected with the pithy title.
but if in case you did not have a single idea about that, why don’t you let the music do the task? by pressin’ play, you’ll be stuck in the aural utopia that has been built by the paragon of voice & the bauble of instrumental. for a long period. so be assured that it takes time to get out of the realm of this euphony.
if in case you stay longer, why don’t you get yourself a copy, put it on your mp3-player & go for a walk in the woods? there might be moments that will be unfathomable.
2. TRACE – The Best
la, los angeles, the city of angels. the city whose name you’re goin’ to memorize, not only due to its stickyness, but also due the fact that the place is engulfed by many beautiful things. one of them is art. art to hear, to see, to feel & to ex/inhale. talkin’ about art to hear, we’d like to invite you to check out our latest favourite from the city of angels, sung by an angel.
the seraph, known under her alias ‘TRACE’, has been one of our latest discoveries, which do not need an explanation why they have to be mentioned, featured, tweeted or posted on our site. but why? well, all you have to do is to check out the stunnin’ extended play, titled ‘LOW’.
the synth-pop oeuvre that made us drool can be seen as a gesamtkunstwerk, whether if we’re talkin’ about lyricism or music. it’s ‘The Best’ that has to be accentuated the most. not only that it has been a thoughtful & tough decision to make, to give a sample of ‘TRACE’, we knew that some of you might pick another piece of this record.
& talkin’ about pickin’, why don’t you click on the provided link & let the gesamtkunstwerk guide you? we know that it would not only make a seraph smile, but also to give her time to present her aural merger between the lyrics, the voice & the instrumental.
3. Saski – Loose Ends
it just feels like an eternity that we talked about the neighbours of the aussies, yes, the kiwis. the state that stick in your head, due to its dulcet landscape. yet, some of us may even know a bit more about new zealand & its salubrious people. one of them is our next feature: singer & song-writer ‘Saski’.
stumblin’ over this gifted girl with the soothing voice some days ago, it has been a pleasure to go on & check, or better said, re-check her discography that has been uploaded on soundcloud so far. whether if we’re talkin’ about the mellifluent vox or the combination with the instrumental, we have to say that this one here has sugar-coated our day. focusin’ on the discography, we’d like to invite you to check out one of the latest uploads: the folk-indie piece called ‘Loose Ends’.
and by meanin’ that, you’re goin’ to lose yourself in the ‘Saski’-sphere, due to the level of mesmerism the song possess.
talkin’ about mesmerism, we will definitely need some time to get out of this mellow sphere that sticks in your ear for a while. if you’re lookin’ forward to hear more in the near future, why don’t you check out the recent content that can be heard to control the level of excitement? all we can say is that you will feel pure jauntiness afterwards.
4. Tiaryn – Cement Love
talkin’ about love, we knew that to keep it, to let it be around yourself for a while, you might need to listen to more pieces with full of energy & passion. one of these might be ‘Cement Love’.
the piece that got our attention while we needed to reboot one of our computers, has remembered us from it’s beginning until it’s ending that love, and just love is the answer to any problem that can occur. yes, you will goin’ to throw tantrums if you’re on schedules & your computer is crashin’, but be assured to check out this mellifluous creation by perth-based artist ‘Tiaryn’.
the oeuvre with the melody that will stick in your ear for a while, might be the answer to embrace the mere moment that monday has begun again & you need positivity around yourself. and what is better than to hear an uptempo beat, comin’ from the state with the sheer endless creativity & versatility: australia?
nothing, exactly. don’t forget to get your copy, cement your love, click on ‘follow’ & let the love be around you.
5. KAIXEN – Only One (feat. MRKI)
time to talk about the only one. the only one that is around you. the only one that is goin’ to mesmerize you. yes, we’re talkin’ about the collaboration that turned our heads. no, we’re not mentionin’ something about a random stranger that caused love on the first sight.
but, if in case, we would start to make ‘une réflexion‘ (which is the french term for ‘thought’), we might say that yes, indeed, we felt in love. whether if we’re talkin’ about the crisp instrumental, created by miami-based producer ‘KAIXEN’ or the tantalizin’ combination between the beat & the seraphic voice by miami-resident, sound designer, ghost producer & singer ‘MRKI’, we have to say it has been love. love on the first hearing. & by meanin’ that, we knew what we have to do next.
but what exactly? well, do us, do yourself & your mum a favour, click on the provided link, get a copy, press ‘follow’ on artist pages, put it on a cd, turn on the car radio & drive. because that is what you’re goin’ to do when you listen to this rip roaring piece of audio.
