it’s the twenty-second of august, we’re happy to be back with a new episode of the ‘Flamboyant Five’-series. as usual, we’d like to present you yet another pithy panoply of rhythm & sounds that we stumbled over the last few days. since we did not concentrate ourselves on one specific genre for this part & instead added a variety of different music cultures, there is goin’ to be something for everyone.
so, why don’t we start with the presentation? we think, it’s about time, article number eighty, called ‘iNox’, say ‘hi’:
1. AJMW – Singularity
first piece on the list has been released by our friends from chicago, ‘BLVNT Records’. this time, the people of ‘BLVNT’ shared an aural draft that needed to be added on our list. created by london-based musician ‘AJMW’, what you’re goin’ to hear is a succulent mixture of atmospheric melodies & mellow instrumentals.
as Ashley mostly produces hip hop, where he fuses elements of that genre with a dime of ambient & electronica, it has been really impressive to go through the released extended play, which is named ‘Unity’ & of course, the older ones, like his ‘Natural’-extended play.
since we’d like to see the artist evolvement from the beginning, to get a feeling of how the process affected the musician musically & personally, it has been an amazing experience that you should probably try out too. be aware that this bedazzlin’ piece can be purchased for a small amount of ‘$$$’. don’t forget to check out the other releases on the label & start to inhale the ‘AJMW’-vibes.
2. Jadu Heart – Late Night
what levels up your monday more than hearin’ to some music & write about it? yes, there is something: ‘Late Night’, a piece by the indie-electronica group ‘Jadu Heart’. the group, whose origins are unknown, gained our attention, due the fact that they’re goin’ to support beatmaker & full-time virtuoso ‘Mura Masa’ on his upcoming europe-tour.
so, we did what we had to do & wade through their salubrious discography. besides havin’ released an outrageously-good extended play, titled ‘Wanderflower’, on ‘Anchor Points Records’, a netlabel that is related to ‘Mura Masa’ himself, it’s the latest release that we finally made a stop over.
with an engulfin’ melody & a mesmerizin’ instrumental that were fused to create the ‘Jadu Heart’-vibe, we knew that we had to add this piece here on the list. dear ladies & gentlemen, do us & do yourself a favour & check them out. because there will be more to here in the near future.
3. Feverkin – Sinking (feat. Nori) (BOATYE Reimagining)
you might remember ‘Sinking’? one of the most mellifluous pieces that we ever had the pleasure to feature on our site. originally created by atlanta-based producer ‘Feverkin’, who collaborated on this with los angeles-based vocalist ‘Nori’, what you heard was a chimerical combination between the rip roaring future beat & the seraphic voice from ‘Nori’. a succulent release that accentuated our attention over these gifted musicians.
so, to talk already about an impeccable original, it always is interestin’ to hear reinterpretations, or in the words of the interpreteur: a ‘reimagination’. the name of the creator: ‘BOATYE’.
the young musician, who is comin’ from leeds, made us curious. since most of the remixes from pieces that are already that good, that you would only ruin its feeling & flow by re-arrangin’ & add your elements to it, we still wanted to check it out. due the fact, we do not let us be influenced by prejudices & other opinions, we did what we had to do & we did not regret it. whether if you would like to call this one here a reinterpretation, an edit or remix, ‘BOATYE’ tried his best to create a diverse structure, to get another atmospheric boost & yes, he succeeded.
bein’ available for free, a copy of this ambient bass music hybrid can be your’s. all you to do is, besides to press on ‘follow’, to click on the provided link & follow the instructions. it has been a pleasure & hopefully it won’t be the last time.
4. William – Praise
next artist on the list is this aussie virtuoso. comin’ from one of the most beautiful spots in the world, whether if we’re talkin’ about the city itself or the ingenuity its people possesses, sydney, it has been a pleasure to check out the discography. by namin’ himself ‘William’, what you’re goin’ to hear is an itinerary through colourful synth compositions & crisp bass lines, so tenaciously good that you start to move your body, wherever you might be.
magically appearin’ around two months ago in soundcloud-universe, this astonishin’ musician knows what he has to do to keep on progressin’ from release to release. to talk more about a specific record of his pithy catalog of beats, we stumbled over his latest: the future bass-piece called ‘Praise’.
the creation that stands for the versatility & diversity that the artist possesses, gained our hearts in less than a minute. as ‘William’ still can be seen as a newbie, due to its ludicrously low amount of followers, we’d like to invite you to check out this musician right here, right now. don’t forget to get yourself a copy of ‘Praise’ & press on ‘follow’, because there will be more gems out soon.
5. OCDANTAR – Nao
last song of today is named ‘Nao’, a piece that has been created by melbourne-based artist ‘OCDANTAR’. we stumbled over this talented bloke from the place of sheer endless creativity, while we were perusin’ the internet for gems, such as his ‘Time In Flux’-extended play.
the record, mostly an amalgamation of different templates & textures from genres, such as ambient, experimental electronica & indie, has been released on the melbourne-based netlabel ‘Smooch Records’ around some months ago. as we tend to show you the impeccable example of the way of sounding from every long or extended play that we did feature here on this site, it was quite a task to pick one specific tune.
so, after a few listenings, our decision has been made, so that we added track number six, the aforementioned ‘Nao’ to the list. due to its lush atmospheric way of sounding, where you can hear the elements that we described earlier, we personally think that this one might be the crucial piece of the release. yet, if it didn’t convince you completely, why don’t you click on the provided link & check out the rest of this stunning release?
we think that you would not only us, but also the label & the artist himself happy that more people here these pithy pieces. don’t forget to grab yourself a copy, put it on your walkman & get some proper coffee for your walk.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their posts on facebook, like their pictures on twitter, give them a follow, a hug to their labels & don’t forget to eat some vegetables. ok bye.
