#FF078: ‘Perpetual Serendipity’
it’s monday the eighth of august, we’re havin’ already our monday blues again. as most of us tend to, or better said, need to do a couple of things from the beginning of the week, something that can be referred as a so-called duty, a job, we’re pretty sure that you might be not in a really great mood.
but, as we know that most of us need an extra push to get over with it, we’d like to sugar-coat your beginning with yet-another sublime selection of five beautiful tracks that we have stumbled over.
part of the featured artists you might recognize & the other part you might not. but, as we’d like to connect people (no, this was no reference to a slogan of a former gargantuan mobile phone company), we’d like to start with the presentation & bring you together with the people here. shall we start? we think, we should. article number seventy-eight, say ‘hi’:
1. ALVE – Late Night Drive
first song of the day is ‘Late Night Drive’ by stockholm-based producer ‘ALVE’. we recently stumbled over the artist, where we have remarked the sheer talent that is behind the catchy moniker.
as the swedish people do know how to be creative, it has been no wonder that this aspiring artist will be here mentioned more in the near future. but to focus less on the future & more on the present, we’d like to talk about our feature, the aforementioned ‘Late Night Drive’.
by creatin’ an midtempo electronic tune & mergin’ it with a minimalistic melo composition, ‘ALVE’ shows you a glimpse of what he is & will be capable of.
as we’d like to keep an eye on our musicians on our watch list, we’re really lookin’ forward to hear more from him when the time passes by. but meanwhile, do us, yourself a favor & check him out. don’t forget to press ‘follow’ & drink some proper water on this day.
2.Covey – Daisies
song number two is ‘Daisies’, a piece created by boston-based artist ‘Covey’. as we were perusin’ the internet for creations of serendipity, we stumbled over this astonishin’ creative head from massachusetts.
by checkin’ out his discography on his site, we made a stop over ‘Bows’, a two-song extended play that has been released around a month ago. the record, which can be genre-fied as an indie-electronic piece, is the impeccable choice to start your day.
whether if we’re talkin’ about eery-yet-catchy synth composition or the lush atmosphere that is created by the whole arrangement, we can say that piece is mesmerizin’.
to give you an example about the way of sounding, ‘Covey’ tries to convey, we’d like to introduce you to ‘Daisies’, which is part of the mini extended play. as this might be just a glimpse of the future, we’d like to invite you to check him out & don’t forget to press ‘follow’.
because you never know, when something new is up & it would be a shame if you would miss it, wouldn’t it?
3. Ariane Moffatt – Hiver Mile End (Folly And The Hunter Cover)
the chimerical cover of ‘Hiver Mile End’ is the track number three we’re goin’ to talk about. originally written by montréal-based musician ‘Ariane Moffatt’, it has been interestin’ to check out this rip-roaring reinterpretation by indie-folk band ‘Folly And The Hunter’.
the group, which is also based in that beloved city in canada, put their passion & hard effort in this cover, to create an unique piece of music. whether if we’re talkin’ about the intense connection between the voices & the instrumental or the fact that these gifted musicians created an ear worm, this cover gained our heart. so, we literally felt obliged to feature this one here.
as this just might be only a reinterpretation, we’d like to invite you to check out their original pieces as well.
what you’re goin’ to hear is an itinerary through harmonies, merged with a variety of instruments to create a warm atmosphere around you & your surroundings. shout out to the people behind this catchy moniker here. merci pour cette musique!
4. KaiL Baxley – Morning Light
penultimate track on the day is by los angeles-based singer-songwriter ‘KaiL Baxley’. accidentally & fortunately stumblin’ over his site, we were intrigued by the sheer amount of solipsism.
whether if you were lookin’ for a bedazzlin’ voice or mellifluous instrumentals, KaiL might be the right guy to check. so, by checkin’ out the discography, we stumbled over one of his latest works, the ‘A Light Never Dies’-extended play.
as this release stands for the creative flow that the musician possess, it has been a pleasure & coevally a ‘torture’. but why a ‘torture’? well, because it really was hard to pick one out of it. as we’d like to show you an aural example of what we were tryin’ to convey, we decided to feature the piece ‘Morning Light’ here.
but if that piece might not convince you completely, why don’t you check out the other gems on that record as well? as the whole release is for free, we’re sure that these will sugar-coat your beginnin of the week.
5. Tiger Tsunami – Illuminate
last song of today is by our beloved friend & talented artist: london-based ‘Tiger Tsunami’. as we recently came in touch to exchange some words about music, Christian did let us know that he published a new record, under the name of ‘Summer Days’.
so, while we were checkin’ it out, we decided to add one of the tunes on our latest compilation, which you can check out on our site. since we really dig the vibes that could be heard on that release, we decided to add another one to our list of the week: track number four, called ‘Illuminate’.
as the whole extended play is dedicated to the summer, with its aforementioned yet contagious vibes & the rivetin’ melo compositions with a personal touch, it had been a pleasure to do a re-feature.
and guess what, the whole ep is for free. all you have to do is to click on the provided link & this palatial release can be your’s.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their posts on facebook, like their pictures on twitter, give them a follow, a hug to their labels & don’t forget to eat some vegetables. ok bye.
if u want to send some cat pictures or simply to say hi, holla at:
the end of the tale, but not of this book.
