#FF077: ‘Maudlin Inducement’
it’s monday the twenty-fifth & we’re happy to be back with a new episode of the ‘Flamboyant Five’-series.
as we always like to present you a panoply of sounds & not one sole genre, we decided to dedicate this part to lush & atmospheric music. as there are plenty of talented artists in this part of the music world, it really was not a hard decision to take.
so, we think that we should skip already the intro & concentrate ourselves on the featured tunes of this week. playlist number seventy-seven, it’s about time to say ‘hi’:
1.OLFVN & Ajgor – Broken Promises
first track is a new one by two of our favorite beatmakers right now, the polish ‘OLFVN’ & ‘Ajgor’. as we featured both of them a couple of times over the last few weeks & months, it sure was a pleasure to do it again.
but why? if you’re a fan of solipsistic beat productions, these two lads might be the perfect choice. not only that they were creatin’ sublime re-interpretations of tunes, but also their knack for makin’ originals needed to be mentioned here.
so, to talk about originals, we decided to add their newest, the future beat ‘Broken Promises’. bein’ part of the new & promisin’ ‘NUMERALS’-compilation that is not even out for twenty-four hours, we had the pleasure to check this tune & of course, the content of this astonishin’ release too.
and we had to say, we did not regret it. whether if you’re a fan of the crisp bass lines & rivetin’ synth compositions, ‘Broken Promises’ is the tune that you need. all you have to do is to press the download-button.
be sure to check out the rest of this rip-roaring release, because it was totally worth the time. shout out to ‘Ajgor’, ‘OLFVN’ & the ‘NUMERALS’-crew.
2. myk. – Archive 14
track two is a tune by leeds-based producer ‘myk.’. as we were listenin’ to Michaels piece ‘Lullabye’, which was part of his extended play ‘Flevopark’, we knew what we had to do.
so, after a little chat with its creator, we had the amazing news that he is workin’ on a new extended play, which is goin’ to be released soon. one of the tunes is our feature on this list, the ambient tune ‘Archive 14’. to show his fans a glimpse of how the new extended play will sound like, ‘myk.’ decided to release already utmost of the record.
and yes, we can say that it is a real stunner. whether if you’re a fan of solipsistic sound scapes or lush & atmospheric sounds, Michael might be the right one to be heard. much love for this piece here.
be sure to tune in, if you haven’t already followed him then do it now, because the more recognition he gets, the better.
3. Erdbeerschnitzel – Corbinian
third track of the day is by bonn-based artist, named ‘Erdbeerschnitzel’. as we were followin’ Tim’s path for a while now, we knew that it has been about time to write about him & his succinct discography of his moniker.
as ‘Erdbeerschnitzel’ (if you were wonderin’, yes the moniker is combination between the german term for ‘strawberry’ & the famous viennese meal ‘Schnitzel’) likes to experiment with different sound scapes, to create an uncanny-yet-catchy way of sounding, we felt obliged to feature one of his creations over our site, in this case: ‘Corbinian’.
bein’ part of his ‘Attendants’-long play that has been released over cologne-based label ‘Rote Liebe’ around a year ago, you can get a copy of this this ambient-electronica-merger by payin’ a small amount of money.
do us & do yourself a favor, check out the whole discography. there might be some gems that are waitin’ for you to be heard.
4. Melldu – Night City
remember st. petersburg-based ‘Melldu’? we do. as we were perusin’ the internet for cathartic pieces, we recently stumbled over a new publication from our friends from bedfordshire-based label, ‘Insight Music’.
as the lads from Insight present you the broad diversity of electronic, with a concentration on ambient, downtempo, experimental electronica & garage, it sure was no wonder that our russian friend would publish one of his newest pieces there.
so, to talk about the featured ‘Night City’, we had to say that we were bedazzled by the clear & crisp way of sounding. not only due to its tenacious bass line but also the whole arrangement is chimerical. a mellifluous piece that definitely needs to be on your iPod.
and guess what? the tune is for free. all you have to do is to click on the provided link, follow the instructions & it can be finally yours.
shout out again to our friends in bedfordshire & a ‘Спасибо’ to ‘Melldu’ for his succulent release. we want to hear more of that.
5. Tobias – Sink
last song of today is by one of our favorite producers, if we’re talkin’ about experimental type of music: new york-based ‘Tobias’.
as we’d like to show you the versatility in the music world, there is no doubt that we had to add his name to that roster. but why? well, if you’re checkin’ him out, you’ll understand why. as ‘Tobias’ tries to create such an unique sound scape from release to release, it sure was no wonder that we had to feature him again.
this time, with his newest piece from his upcoming long play, called ‘Sink’. by pressin’ play, you’re goin’ to be engulfed by amalgamations of electronic sounds: mesmerizin’ rhythms & the unilateral melo composition will go with you for a jaunt.
if there might be a word to describe this feeling, then it might be the term ‘sublime’. not only that this man knows what he has to do to create yet another amazing panoply of sounds, but also while doin’ that you’re goin’ to feel impressed by it – by tryin’ to experiment also, to expand your horizon, your mental den.
be sure to check his future releases, because there is more to come. all you have to do is to press ‘follow’ & wait patiently.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their posts on facebook, like their pictures on twitter, give them a follow, a hug to their labels & don’t forget to eat some vegetables. ok bye.
if u want to send some cat pictures or simply to say hi, holla at:
the end of the tale, but not of this book.
