#FF064: ‘Uncanny Valley’
it’s monday the eighteenth & the flamboyant five are knocking on your door. while you’re still have to realize that the weekend is finally over, we came together to create a list, to make your day less awful & less painful. after listenin’ to these solipsistic creations, you’ll feel relieved. that’s what we can say.
so, shall we start the aural therapy now? it’s about time, we guess. article number sixty-four, let the itinerary to the ‘Uncanny Valley’ begin:
1.Soular Order – Facing The Fall
first come, first serve goes to manchester-based producer ‘Soular Order’ & one of his newest releases called ‘Facing The Fall’.
being released as a part of his newest extended play named ‘Isonomic’, what you’re goin’ to hear is an itinerary to an ambient world, filled with elements of the bass galaxy & electronic universe. as usual, Jon managed to put his evolvement as an electronic musician to another level, yet it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t check out his former releases.
as we’d like to say that we will present the audience a broad variety of styles of music, it has been an obligation to put this release on the list. not only because that Jon’s creation is outstandin’ & impressive, but also as a site which tends to look over its featured artists from time to time.
the extended play is purchasable on the ‘City By Nights’-label site & with a small donation of money, you won’t make only us happy but also its creator too.
2.Voia – Almost Human (Kilohurts Remix)
‘Almost Human’ is on the list. originally created by ny-based artist ‘Voia’, it has been interestin’ to check out the remix of miami-based beatmaker ‘Kilohurts’.
as we have stumbled over Daniel’s reinterpretation, we were in a state of awe after checkin’ it out. whether if we’re talkin’ about the synth composition or the fuse between elements of the original & the remix, it has been a pleasure to listen to ‘Kilohurts’-take.
this example will show you how far this young producer will evolve, as an artist & as a human being. but why? because as a human being, when you try to re-interpret something, you really need a specific amount of knack to understand its former meaning, to decipher it & merge it with your own thoughts, so that you can still see a glimpse of the original, but also your perception.
thanks to Daniel for this contribution, we’re sure that it won’t be the last time that our ways crosses each other’s.
3.Section Boyz – Trappin Aint Dead (IQ Remix)
next tune is a thing, where we literally (sorry for the usage of that term) have lost our shit. being released on LA-based ‘Black Marble Collective’, what you’re goin’ to listen is the jersey club-reinterpretation of ‘Trappin Aint Dead’, which has been originally created by london-based rap group ‘Section Boyz’.
first of all, it’s quite hard to remix a tune, that has been so tenaciously-good that any kind of reinterpretation will be primarily prejudged as a ‘bad’-one. but, as we’d like to say that we love to listen to any kind of diverse version, we pressed play & checked out the refix of new-jersey based producer ‘IQ’.
from the beginnin’ until its ending, it has been a pleasure to listen to it, to say it blunt: it’s tight. what we like to say is if you love jersey, you should check this out, a trenchant tune that has to be downloaded by you & you.
as the ‘Black Marble Collective’ love to show its gratitude to his fans & supporters, Quinn’s remix is available for free or if you do want to donate some $$$ to the label & the artist, do that too.
4.Niv Ast – It Won’t Leave Me
‘It Won’t Leave Me’ is song number four on the list. created by our friend from tel aviv, ‘Niv Ast’, what you’re goin’ to hear is a fore-shadowing of his evolvement.
not only that he managed to improve tenaciously good during the last weeks, but also it amazes us to see artist evolvements such as his from time to time.
so, while we were checkin’ out the aforementioned tune, we were impressed by the solipsistic way of beat production, whether if we’re talkin’ about the sagacious usage of his voice or the catchy lyrics, if you can sing & produce, you’re goin’ to have a possibility to do much more than an average producer.
as an announcement of his new extended play, named ‘Fearless Love Stories’, you’ll get a sneak-peak of its way of sounding.
so, in the meanwhile, why don’t you check this here out & give this creator a moment of your time?
5.ETEVLEH – S.S.
final song of the day is part of our all-time favorites-list. being released as a part of the ‘Architecture… Compilation’ of the ‘Classical Trax’-netlabel, we’d like to introduce you the anonymous producer ‘ETEVLEH’ & his creation: the omnivorous tune ‘S.S.’.
we stumbled over this compilation & our pick of it just around some months ago. but somehow, it never happened that we mentioned the creation or its creator on a specific article on this site, which is quite a shame to say.
whether it is about tremendously-good bass lines or the profound usage of fx’s & vocal chops, this song might be the thing to listen to. as a part of the aforementioned compilation, ‘S.S.’ is available for free & can be downloaded on the soundcloud-site of the netlabel.
be aware to listen to that piece without headphones, because its full potential can be heard when you’re using a profound sound system.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their posts on facebook, like their pictures on twitter, give them a follow, a hug to their labels & don’t forget to eat some vegetables. ok bye.
if u want to send some cat pictures or simply to say hi, holla at:
the end of the tale, but not of this book.
