#ff048: casual monday
casual monday has arrived, or better we should say just passed. it’s already wednesday & we’re sorry for the delay. as we already mentioned some weeks ago, the college is on the go & with that, time is running out. yet, we somehow managed to find some time to show you our tracklist of the week. not only because we love you, it has turned already to a ‘duty’ to keep on spreading love for the music, the artists, the labels & blogs. tracklist number forty-eight, here we go…
1.Stwo – Haunted ft. Sevdaliza (Ajgor & OLFVN Remix)
‘stwo’, a paris-based beatmaker is nowadays one of the hottest acts you can ever see live, not only because of his tremendous talent in production but also his knack for live performances.
it is obvious that many aspiring musicians try to improve their knowledge about beat production to finally write an original as good as ‘stwo’s. and it’s even more obvious that people tend to remix a song by one of their favorite musicians, in this case the reinterpretation of ‘haunted’ by the polish beatmakers ‘ajgor’ & ‘olfvn’.
‘ajgor’ & ‘olfvn’, who gained our attention already since some months, are names to remember. but why? well, a reason might be their sublime output. another their solipstic interpretations of well-known tracks, such as in this case here the ‘stwo’ track. by resetting the track’s arrangement, fusing ambient elements with saucy kicks & drums, the two masterminds created something magical. as usual, as they tend to spread some love, the track is available for free. so be sure to get your copies.
2.Elliot Moss – Slip (Canvas Remix)
next song is the remix of ‘slip’, a song by nyc-based artist ‘elliot moss’. mostly known for performing some smooth electronic music, elliot should be one of those ones to watch in the future. yet, it’s always interesting to check a remix of a song, that you might think ‘can’t be remixed’.
in this case, you might be terribly wrong. being rearranged by the stockholm-based electronic-duo ‘canvas’, what you’re going to hear is a solemn moment of peace. whether if we’re talking about the blissful bassline or the awe-inspiring intro, ‘canvas’ put their stamp on the original & created something unique & astounding.
do us a favor & check out both artists, they’re worth the time. give them a like & start to follow their path.
3.WIZE – Spellbound
we’d like to say ‘hello’ to a new member of the solar mountain ridge fam, london-based beatmaker ‘wize’ (obviously pronounced ‘wise’). the guy from the isle magically appeared around two years ago & gained public attention with tenacious beats & seraphic melodies.
this time, we’d like to talk more about his latest release, ‘spellbound’. the song, which is actually a fuse between ‘ambient melodies’ & ‘saucy drumbeats’, is something refreshing nowadays.
as we usually are perusing for unique productions, it’s getting sometimes frustrating to hear the same tedious things all day long. and yet, there are few exceptions, which we’re proud to find them.
the song is available as a freebie, so be sure to check it as soon as you have heard it after four times.
4.William Crooks – Ghosts
next song, next impressive thing we’re going to feature here. being written by the southeast georgia-based producer ‘william crooks’, it’s always a pleasure to feature one of our beloved friends.
being known for the sublime creativity & versatility, william yet created another tenacious hybrid. ‘ghosts’, a merger between futuristic hip hop & trap, is a song that needed to be definitely on this list here.
whether it is about the synth-composition or the uplifting combination of the eery-sounding acapella-chops & the drums, william proved yet again that his evolvement is still on the go & not decreasing.
the song is available for free & can be downloaded via crooks ‘stereoload’-site. get your copies guys.
5.J.Robb – Imma Play This At A Beet Trip
you might remember the name ‘j.robb’? if not, it’s not a tragedy. the baltimore-based producer has gained the attention of public with avid beats, or let’s say contagious vibes.
this time, we’d like to talk about a released ‘draft’ from robb, under his second soundcloud-acc, named ‘j.robb dos’ (seems obvious, huh?). the beatmaker created this account for an ample reason: this is where he puts unfinished stuff along with remixes that he knows he cant get away with on his soundcloud.
so, by checking out the draftsdemos-acc, we stumbled over the one of the latest releases named ‘imma play this at a beet trip’. to ‘genrefy’ the song: a solid hiphop-track with a catchy melody, yet only released as a demo, since robb just sees this only as an idea & not as a real release on his prime account.
so, while you’re going to listen to it in a ten minutes loop, be sure to check out his real account, give him a like & start to follow his path.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their posts on facebook, like their pictures on twitter, give them a follow, a hug to their labels & don’t forget to eat some vegetables. ok bye.
if u want to send some cat pictures or simply to say hi, holla at:
the end of the tale, but not of this book.
