chapter 14.1. – bold blast-off.
hi. we would like to start the new year like the last, same short intro, different content every single time. sounds redundant, huh? yes-and-no. we’re still on our journey to find music that is different to these unilateral things which u can find on every single club-charts, ee-dee-em-blog whatever. well we’re not here to blame anyone, it’s just a thought that we dont support solely. we talked enough, let another chapter begin: (whhoooshsshhh-bold-soundings)
1. Tülpa – Pretty Things
we start with ‘pretty things’ by pittsburgh-based tülpa aka ivan zhyzhkevych. well if check out his former productions, u’ll see that tulpa is a composer/producer, who specialized himself with piano instrumentals combined with triphop, hiphop & ambient music. ‘pretty things’ was released as a freebie like nearly all of his tracks, reinterpretations. as u probably remark it already, u dont need so many instruments, soo many synths or vox-acapella-chops, effects and so on, to create something uniquely to be mentioned. we’re looking forward to hear more from him. supported, loved, posted – thank u tülpa.
2. JOY. – Captured (scholar remix)
we go on with a remix of ‘captured’ which was originally a track created by olivia mccarthy, aka joy. track name captured. remixer: brisbane-based scholar. oh hey, yet another creative head straight from down-under hehe. this remix here is really piece of pulchritude. it’s the lush atmos, the melody, the uncanny vox of mccarthy. the only negative thing of this track is the fact that this remix is too short to fall completely into a deep trance. to sum it up: the track concept: mesmerizin’, the arrangement: tantalizin’, the final project: impeccable. this is not only for the indie-electronic people, the song is for nearly everyone. loved, supported, we’re stoked to check ur future releases.
3. Deadmau5 – Some Chords (DIVERSA Remix)
next stop, diversas remix of one of the best electronic tracks of the previous years, some chords by deadmau5. usually all the remixes of an original deadmau5-track are soundin’ terrible. why? becuz nearly all of his tracks are songs that fit in the category ‘unremixable-please-dont-ruin-it’, this ‘golden rule’ is not only for the unknown producers, but also for the well-known too. besides, if there is goin’ to be a remix-contest of an unremixable track, this is goin’ to end into an altercation. yet, diversa (bless god) did something different. he took the stems of the original and put his own trademark on it, the own sounding, which we were desperately lookin’ for while checkin out the newest releases by ‘kickass producer a’ or ‘divine god of bla bla bla music b’. he amend the idea of this dancey-dancey thing into more likely ambient-chill-dude piece. many of us use the term ‘vaporwave’, which is a subgenre of another subgenre, & so on. we simply call it music. period. supported, posted. bye.
4. Iketa – Bird
‘bird’ by hungary-based iketa is really something that needed to be mention here. the idea of combinin’ ambient music with cinematic electronic is something that is evolvin’ in the last years, artist such as atra aeterna are doin’ it. and as usual, iketa put this out as a freebie. but we would like to make a plea: support him, he truely deserves it. yieah, it may sound repetitive, but we’re here to provide a base for all of these dedicated musicians, producers, artists to support, help them, bring up the attention which they have really deserved. posted, supported, thank u.
5. Spheriá – Free
last stop, sphérias free. well first, we dont know where he comes from. maybe from hungary? maybe not, we have no idea. free was released as a freebie. it’s a classical tune, piano-solos are fused with athmospheric strings. it’s just about the melody, which brings up goose-bumps while listenin’ to it. we would like to go on with the description but there wouldnt be enough words to describe the feelin’ u’re goin’ to have. simply check it out, enjoy the time.
we would like to say good-bye, to say hello the next week, meanwhile check out this chapter, or the previous ones. ok. bye.
