02/08 – 02/15 (#FF019)

chapter 19 – somber sundae.

heheehehehello.
the last week has passed really fast. we’re pleased to show our secret gems we have found while we have been on our voyage de l’exploration (that is french, and it means… …for god sake, even a dimwit would understand the meaning).
..so here we go:

1. Deapmash & Raito – Stop (BS1 Remix)

first stop, the rework of the italian duo bs1 of ‘stop’ that was originally produced by deapmash & raito. this track here does provide the futuristic evidence, that there is not goin’ to be a determination of music. no genres, no typification, nothing like this. why? becuz honestly, be checkin’ out the remix, u’ll remark influences from acid house to grime, from warehouse techno to industrial electro. here, it’s all about percussion, a hotchpodge of dancin’ to paradise & trippin’ in hell. the BS1 remix of stop is good for everyone, for the hipsters, the normal people, the techno guys, and acid gurls. u can catch a copy of this on the newest release of deapmash & raito remix ep named ‘den start/stop’ on origami sounds series named ‘clubwerk’. feel free to press play and start to catch all pokémons (cuz we love retro).

2. Rivers – Milk and honey

‘milk and honey’ is a song by cardiff-based singer-songwriter rivers. the fun fact was, rivers did hit us up just one hour after we did post our last chapter of the series on our website. our reaction after the message was probably something between: ‘fuck, could we turn the time back, so we can put her in the chapter?’ and ‘should we put her in our new (soon-to-be-announced) series called ‘tediously news’ or not?’ maybe we should do both, we’ll see. to talk more about the artist, rivers comes straight directly from cardiff, wales. with her roots in kenya, she likes to combine the ‘unusual with the usual’. fusin’ ambient music right in the direction of björk (yes, we’re talkin’ about björk right now) with the new-cool-electronic stuff (let’s say like banks, no not azealia). her productions, lyrics are perfectly matched together, yet she is still experimentin’ with stuff, becuz as an artist, a true artist, we dont talk about the posers, or wannabe’s, u’re never goin’ to stop evolvin’ urself, u have to create something new & flamboyant (spoiler alert) to enrich urself, ur surroundings, the world. we’re pleased that we found u, and lookin’ forward to hear more from u. supported, loved, bye.

3. Solace – Saudade

we go on with the track ‘saudade’ by toronto-based producer solace (aka jonathan lyons irl). ‘saudade’, ‘saudade’, in this song it’s all about emotions, doesn’t matter if we’re talkin’ about the trip hop structure, or the reassurin’ piano melody, or the bells. as u probably have checked the soundcloud of solace, u’ll see that music needs its time, to evolve, to gain power, to become better. as he did mention on his soundcloud acc, that he did start the project to ‘saudade’ the last year, but could finish it in this one, u see that u need not to be in a hurry. just simply let the music ‘steer’ u, inhale the melody, exhale the bass. that is what is all about writin’ songs, to create something with a unique touch, it has not be a kickass song, also sometimes the most soothing things can be ur best creations. supported, loved, u might wanna check his other creations.

4. HRZN – All I Have

‘all i have’ is song that was created by ‘hrzn’ (pronounced obv. ‘horizon’). before u come to the question: ‘is it a freebie?’, we would like to say ‘yes, mate, totally free of charge’. to talk more about the group (duo? trio? well we dont know, neither soundcloud says nothing about it nor does twitter nor facebook), as u can probably remark on ur own, these guys are still evolvin’ themselves day per day, that’s the reason why they probably do not have so many tracks uploaded on their acc, but we’re goin’ to update u about it soon, if there are goin’ to some announcements. to talk about the song: a lush-smoothy downtempo track, fused with ambient elements such as the eerily girl sayin’ ‘all i have’ in a loop, so that u might get into a state of trance, the rainin’ sound (still a nice sample to use tho), and the perfectly mastered bassline. we instantly felt in love with the track, the group (if someone knows who this guys are, we would be really greatful). instantly supported, posted.

5. S-Type – Ice (feat. Inkke)

last stop, at s-type’s place. the glasgow-based producer did release recently an extended play under the title ‘SV8’ on luckyme records. we do have here a real stunner, a solid tape with the likes of lunice, or yung god. the track ‘ice’ was created in collaboration with also glasgow-based inkke. track structure: it’s all about trap music, fused with terse yet stark vocal chops. please also to mention, the remarkable synth-loops that let u melt into something between ice cream and mountain dew. we love the ice, we love the cold, we love that track, the ep. totally supported, loved, posted.

as usual we’d like to thank u for your attention, by the sacrifice ur leisure or work time, or even boredom period. meanwhile u’re realizin’: ‘oh hey, i still have to do some stuff, but not really into the mood for it’, feel free to check all the artists, buy their clothes, copy their styles and eat a smoothy sundae. ok bye.
