chapter 8 – trenchant duties.
another week has passed, another is goin’ to start. to sum the last up, it was a tough one, a real tough one. winter is comin’, it is gettin’ colder, the whim is changin’ itself dramatically day per day, like an ECG. either there is impenetrable happiness or blank fury or a mixture of both them. (a trip to barbados should be nice tho). let’s get back to the music, here is what we found for u while huntin’ thru the eerily jungle of the musical universe: chapter 8 of the flamboyant five series.
1. Atenrays – Look Into
we start with atenrays ‘look into’. by startin’ with a wave full of synths-over-synths, the track comes up with an unprecedented break-down to the bassline full of concordial melodies, each of them different to the other, but combined they create a lush area of sootiness. to take a look into atenrays cabin, u can see his creativity floatin’ outside his house, into the woods, the urban area, the baleful places & nefarious sites of this planet. all these melodies, all these impulses from his mind turns everything jittery & intemperate into a union full of harmony & unity. we think that is enough for a description, because first if we go on, we would instantly start to cry & sob, and second, write tons of poems for showin’ appreciation to this NY-based producer.
2. Mothica – Visions (prod. Diversa)
we actually don’t need to present diversa to the audience, if there are still people outside who never heard of that name, we’re pleased to ‘educate’ u by tellin’ his story. if we do remember right, the name was always passin’ thru different music blogs, youtube channels, soundcloud pages, facebook posting’, retweets on twitter for ages, with a good reason: his productions were slightly different to the mass. different actually means good (yet there are exceptions). since then, diversa is expandin’ his base, only by his productions, which are an own thing (bless god). this time, he has written the basic track for the NYC-based vocalist mothica. the combination of his distorted-trenchant-snare-kick-drum-basslines with the alleviative vox of mothica arouses feelings in urself, which u never were aware of. and yes indeed, it did that in us too. after hearin’ the tracks of latest asa extended play, we never expected to have these feelings again by hearin one single, mothica & diversa showed us that we were totally wrong.
3. Shaunic & Joseph L’étranger – Git It
we go on with ‘git it’ by shaunic & joseph l’étranger. to say it bluntly, the track itself is basically another future-bass production, if u hear it only for one time. by hearin’ it for a second time, or a third, u can see the meticulously dedication for makin’ a solid track, which doesn’t have to hide itself to the audience. it’s one of these, where u’re goin’ to start to dance, or to calm down, or do both in the same time. what differs a song from another nowadays? it is the melody, it is the arrangement, it is the dedication of the artists, if they really want to create something slightly different or just another platitudinous track for their roster. ‘git it’ shows u the dudes dedication & apprecation for music. supported, posted, thank u.
follow joseph l’étranger:
4. Oceáan – Candour
as some may recognize the name oceáan, maybe due the fact that we already talked about this guy from manchester in previous chapters, tedious texts about music & videos, we would like to talk about him again. oceáan popped out of the mass of unknown recently, with a remix of MØ’ XXX88 on soundcloud. since then, he received tons of recognition from well-known blogs, artists such as sohn, and gathered people on diverse networks to follow his path, support his art & of course enjoy it. ‘candour’, which is goin’ to be released on the 8th of december on uk-based label ‘chess club records’, may give u another reason, to support his creations & stick to his style of music. by startin’ with a acapella-solo, then mergin’ it with melodies, kicks, this midtempoish song turns ur pissed-off-deameanour into chilled-out-bearing. supported, loved, blogged, go check the oceáan.
5. Owlle – Fog (Andrea Remix)
last track for today, and it’s genuinely perfect. the atmos, the vox, the rain drops in the background, the bells, the kickdrums, awwwww, we are in love. andrea’s remix of fog, originally written by paris-based owlle, is something to remember to. the french never dissappoint, whereas we’re talkin about gesaffelstein, daft punk, brodinski, sebastiAn, alesia, the list of artists is endlessly long. while some of u might think, there is goin’ to be a dramatic change, and not so many new artists are goin’ to arise from the french planet of the unknown ingenuity, we would like to say to those, that this never goin’ to happen in the next time. back to the song, we can not stop to smirk, snear, weep & sob coevally. it’s beautiful, it’s tenaciously good, it’s simply perfect.
enough text, college is waitin’, see ya on the next chapter, meanwhile eat ur booger, take a dump, do whatever u want, but we beg u to check these dudes out, they’re worth the time. bye.
the end of the tale, but not of this book.
