ff041 – mercurial dawn
we’d like to start off the week with the usual thing: a new chapter on the flamboyant five series. due the fact that the summer is ending & autumn is on its peak of beginning (well sort of in europe), we’d like to feature on this part some sooth-mellifluous compositions by artists, such as ‘ajgor‘ or ‘kilmeks‘. so beforehand, (as an advice) be sure to give some time to the upcoming music to let it embrace you.
1. Lapalux – Without You (Ajgor Remix)
‘without you’ by british ambient, electronic artist ‘lapalux’ is something we like to listen to quite often. so, it’s quite interesting to hear a reinterpretation of one track of one of our favorite musicians: in this case, the remix by our beloved polish friend ‘ajgor’. as we have already mentioned, it is always a pleasure to hear well-known tracks in a different way. ‘ajgor’ took the original, put on an ‘ajgor’-coat & released it to hear what the people are thinking of it. and yes, we’re pleased to feature the reinterpretation on our newest addition of the ‘ff’ (which obv. stands for ‘flamboyant five’). by creating an ambient atmosphere, the producer tried to put his stamp on the original. whether we’re talking about the ‘re-calibration’ of the drum-setting, or the mellifluous symbiosis between the instrumental & the voice of british singer, songwriter & producer ‘kerry leatham’, yet again ‘ajgor’ provides a classy piece of electronic music production. be sure to catch a copy of the freebie, give both artists a like & start to follow their musical path.
2. Klimeks – Godz Hand
‘godz hand’ is the next song we’d like to talk about. created by the uk-based producer ‘klimeks’, you’re going to expect a solid futuristic ‘hip-hop’-hybrid. why futuristic? just listen to the synth composition. why hybrid? it’s obviously a fuse between electronic & hip hop, that’s why. being released a couple of days ago, ‘godz hand’ has already gained thousands of plays & plenty of ‘favorites & reposts’, for good reasons. reason ‘a’ might be the already mentioned ‘synth-composition’ that is going to stymie your body & possibly your pet. reason ‘b’ might be the successful attempt to create a classy instrumental with a ‘flamboyant’ (*cough* word play *cough*) concept of ‘fxs & melodies’. ‘godz hand’ is available for free, so give this man an applause, second go on his site, third fetch a copy, fourth, drink some water before playing it (due the instant body reaction in form of ‘over-drooling’).
3.Kimbra – Settle Down (FEKIR Remix)
‘settle down’, a song by kiwi singer-songwriter ‘kimbra’ is a track that has been played out on radio shows, tv programs & internet channels for ages. due its ‘refreshing sounding’, the track has been an international success. so it’s quite hard to make an attempt to create an own interpretation of one successful pop song, in this case the refix of the french producer ‘fekir’. ‘le créateur’ (which stands for ‘creator’ in french & formally known under the alias ‘ciel noir’) is a person, who has magically appeared like 2 months ago in the world of electronic music. we received his updates from release to release, to follow his evolvement, his path on the creation of music. so, it’s quite a pleasure to put him on the list. by fusing the cover version of us singer-songwriter ‘madelyn grant’, who has already worked with artists such as ‘odesza’ or ‘fkj’, with his refix of the original, our french friend created a solid piece of music. being available for a fee, which you can set on your own or the ‘like-repost-follow’-setting on his ‘artist-union’-site, it is your decision if you would like to donate a small fee of money or give him a ‘soundcloud’-boost by sharing his track. all we’d like to say is, that he totally deserved it however you’re going to decide.

4. Shell Sport – Pain Vehicle
‘pain vehicle’ is the next song. its creator: the unknown & mysterious ‘shell sport’. the song has been released only some hours ago & has received a great variety of reactions. by fusing the ‘ambient’ with the vibes of the ‘future bass’-genre, ‘pain vehicle’ is an impressive creation, an interesting hybrid piece of future music. we have no idea, where this guy came from (‘is this a duo, or even a group?’). his/her/their bandcamp-site says ‘nuuk’, which is the capital of greenland, while soundcloud says nothing at all. all we know, that the hungarian producers ‘glxy’ & ‘prayer’ are somehow involved in this project. but honestly, it does not really matter right now. we’d like to make a plea: ‘follow this project… ‘instantly’. if you’re a fan of producers such as ‘ryan hemsworth’ or ‘shlohmo’, ‘shell sport’ might be the right guy – and even if not, feel free to check him/her/them out. for a small fee of one dollar, you can get a copy of this trenchant piece of music.

5. Nothing, Nowhere – Choke Slam
‘nothing, nowhere’ is the last artist we’re going to talk about today. the featured song: ‘choke slam’. first of, we never heard about this group. second, we don’t really mind that we really did not. third, just ignore this enumeration. back to main topic, the music. being released some weeks ago, you get the opportunity to hear to the ‘saddest thing i’ve ever heard’ (twitter quotation from user ‘deadgirl’). whether we’re talking about the melodramatic-yet-mesmerizing atmosphere or the flawless-setting of the 808s, ‘choke slam’ is the most melancholic thing we have ever heard during the last weeks. albeit, that does not mean it has to be bad, on the contrary, we have to admit that this song really touched our hearts, or ‘melted them away’ to quote the miss. ‘choke slam’ is unfortunately only available on soundcloud, so be sure to give these guys a follow, repost their song & tweet ‘hi’ to their acc.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their posts on facebook, like their pictures on twitter, give them a follow, a hug to their labels & don’t forget to eat some vegetables. ok bye.
if u want to send some cat pictures or simply to say hi, holla at:
the end of the tale, but not of this book.
