chapter 38 – deft influx
1. Swindail – Four Storey Home
first song, first serve. we’d like to welcome ‘swindail’ to our smr family. coming straight from sydney, australia, you might get the first impression that his productions should be good (due the high percentage of high quality output of that flamboyant place on planet earth, named australia). so, yes, you’re not going to regret the decision while checking him out. unfortunately, it’s quite hard to pick one specific tune & say some words about it, so we made the ‘toughest’ decision of this chapter here & picked ‘four storey home’, which has been re-released on his (let’s call it) majestic soundcloud-acc. wait, re-released? yieah, a reason for that might be the so-called ‘soundcloud-purge’, another one might be a personal reason, well we don’t know & honestly it does not really matter anyway. ‘four storey home’ is the song for looking for some good clothes in your favorite clothing store, the track that has to be played in your favorite café, restaurant, place – wherever you can play out some music without bothering people. why? it’s because of its eternal smooth-and-yet dancy atmosphere that you’re in while listening to the melody, the bassline or mesmerizing vocals that has been put in. fortunately, ‘four storey home’ is available as a free download, so do your neighbor a favor & fetch a copy of it. give this dude a like, a follow or stalk him on his facebook. thaaaanks.
2. Bilo503 x Sandpeople – Haze Odyssey
‘haze odyssey’ is something we’d like to listen while writing all these articles about people who are (for a ludicrous reason) quite unknown & deserved to be mentioned (at least) on one website. why? it’s the sooth song structure, it’s that flow you’re definitely going to feel, it’s the genuine usage of a famous voice record (all we’d like to say is codename: ‘man on the moon’), as you can see there could dozen reasons to check it out. at least, one other might be, because of its creators. the cologne-based producer ‘sandpeople’ & his dude ‘bilo503’, which comes (if we would make a guess) also from germany. these two guys are doing collaborations not for a short period, soundcloud provides some infos about creations that has been released already some months ago. ‘haze odyssey’ is one solid hip hop tune, which you’d like to listen in these days of ‘over-saturation’. we don’t have to say that nowadays the usage of the term ‘hip hop’ has been ‘abused’ over all these ‘futuristic-hyper-trap’-things. but that’s a thing on his own, what we’d like to say is that ‘haze odyssey’ is going to be part of a long-anticipated beattape of these guys, so be sure to give both a like, a follow. check their tunes out while waiting for that piece of pulchritude.
3.CVRL – SVINT (FT. MIRVZH)
‘svint’ (obviously pronounced as ‘saint’) is the next song on this chapter. created by the stockholm-based producer-beatmaker ‘cvrl’ (obv. ‘carl’) & with some help by the welshman ‘mirvzh’, ‘svint’ is one of those trap instrumentals that you were looking for ages. due the aforementioned ‘over-saturation’ of music nowadays, where people still think that it should work out to put in another prominent synth in the song structure, even though they can even listen to difference, it’s good to see that not everyone is doing this ‘nincompoop’-job. a solid creation by two good beatmakers is what we’re looking for (does that even sound ludicrous? – well let’s say ‘yes’) months. there is nothing to criticize about: whether we’re talking about the kicks, drums, the hihats or the flawless setup of the synth-composition. a trenchant piece of music from the beginning ’till its end. do us a favor, check the tune out, feel its energy & let the energy guide you (hopefully) on their accounts on soundcloud, where more music is waiting for you to be ‘spotted’.
4.Holy Rain – Sunday
the next song is going to be a time-travel in the year 2014. if you press play & listen to the intro you might recognize the sample that has been used in this beat-production. it’s a song that has been already ‘flipped’ by people such as mister ‘kaytranada’, albeit we’re not going to talk about him. the original comes from ‘kaleidoscope’ from the canadian band ‘badbadnotgood’ & this time, the atlanta-based producer ‘holy rain’ gave that song a more hip-hopish ‘facelift’ that has not definitely to hide itself from the other reinterpretations. whether we’re talking about the flawless beat-structure or the meticulously usage of the sample, ‘sunday’ (that is what mister rain called his refix) is a tenacious piece of music that needs to be on your playlist. immediately. it is not the first time we did put a ‘holy rain’ production on an article of this website & fortunately it is not going to be the last time. do yourself a favor, send this over to your auntie, your uncles & ben.
5. Drake – Know Yourself (Montell2099 Remix)
last song & your first thought is going to be like ‘awwww, not another remix of a drake song’. the second thought might be: ‘ok, let’s give at least a try’ while your cursor is on the ‘close window-button’. the third thought might be: ‘dang, where is the volume up button when you need it?’ the fourth & last thought: ‘replay-replay-replay’. well that has been our thoughts which we liked to share with you guys. fortunately, ‘montell2099’ has enlightened us that sometimes prejudices might be wrong. but why? well, let’s say: press play, let the vibes engulf you, press play again, and let the magic happen again. being released on the ‘plattform for all musician genuises’, (nah soundcloud we’re not talking about you) named ‘NHU’ aka ‘neighbores hates us’, you can expect that the kiwi producer is going to get more recognition in the future, which (in our opinion) is totally deserved – so, to lose some words about the artist himself: as we have mentioned already by the term kiwi, mister montell comes from auckland, new zealand. he started to put out tunes over tunes since juli 2015. so be sure, to check him out, give him a like, a follow or say ‘hi’ on facebook.
be sure to check all the updates of the artists, their labels, collectives on instagram, facebook, vk or any kind of network they might be. ok. byebye.
if u want to send some cat pictures or simply to say hi, holla at:
